New: Try my AI Bot new film

When employees are tracked by their employers, science fiction may actually become science fact (screening surveillance project)

The Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada funded the Screening Surveillance project: a trio of Creative Commons licensed short science fiction films about “everyday issues around big data and surveillance.” Definitely worth watching !  The movies run about 10 minutes each. We selected the “A Model Employee” for you, a scenario where a waitress in a restaurant gets tracked and rated by her employer. At night, she works as a DJ, but her tracking wristband feeds the performance dashboard of the restaurant owner. She tries to fool the system, but a new device upgrade means trouble. More videos and comments in this series can be found here.
